Maps

In my expeert opinion go to a store that sells maps.But that's just my uneducated,unuldararted opinion.I,however could be incorrect,maybe a pastry shop is your best bet.

Going to stores here in Budapest that sell maps was our first choice also. However, after going to about a dozen bookstores and several other type stores, all we can find are the folding ones. These are okay but don't look too good hanging on the wall with all their creases.

We were hoping that someone knew of a specialty store where the maps we referenced was located.

We have researched this many times and are just not having any luck finding a local store that have the English versions of the maps.

Thanks for the tip on the pastry shops; for some reason we never thought to try that angle.

You are looking for a "wall map" or a "roll map". English ones will be a specialty item in Hungary, and probably would have to be ordered. While I always support buying locally, if they have to be ordered, might as well consider doing it yourself.

Another option is to download a full scale image of a map, and go to a printer and have them print and laminate if for you. This is the DIY method, and DIY is a time honored Hungarian tradition!
