Hi All,
I'll be moving to Toronto (from USA) with my wife and two kids (8 and 12 years old) next winter. I'll be working at York University and I would like to live in the surroundings. Could anybody give me an idea of the living costs for a family of 4? Just a rough idea about accommodation in the YorkU zone, food, utilites & etc it would be ok.

My net salary would be around 50k and after taxes, etc. around 3.2-3.4k per month. I plan to bring my US car, but I'm still not sure about it. I've seen with a work permit I can bring my car temporarily without too much hassle (I don't need to verify it), but what about the costs?. My idea is not to use it too much, but certainly this will depend on the location of our home.
I'd really appreciate any piece of information/suggestion.
Thanks in advance.
Warmest regards,

Marcelo
