Visa's for moving to Bali-not looking for work

Post new topic

Hi everyone :D

I am looking at moving to Bali in the new year and just have a few queries I hope you can help with.

Ok so first of all I work FIFO in Australia and have 1 wk off a month or 1 wk off every two months. Q-What type of visa would I need if I am coming to the country so infrequently YET want to have a rental property? VOA every time or will I need a KITAS as I want to rent locally and use it as my base.

Also any recommendations on suburbs to live would be fantastic, Don't want to live right in the city.

Thank-you very much, every little bit helps

Initially go with the multiple VOA's. There are no limits on them.

After a spell of doing that you could consider a multiple entry KITAS, but which approach will be cheaper will depend on how many times each year you come to Bali.

You don't need a KITAS to rent a property but you will need a KITAS if you go the Hak Pakai route for property "acquisition"...use.
