Bottled Still Water

Post new topic

Hello all! What's your preferred bottle water brand available here in Jeddah? I've got to watch the sodium due to HBP so any feedback  based on taste and mineral content is much appreciated. Thanks in advance for your comments. What's the latest on bottled water delivery service? Recommendations?

I get the 5 gallon Nestlé bottles delivered to my place.  Small disposable bottles are damaging the earth, so they should be avoided.

As for sodium, the amount is negligible in bottled water, so I wouldn't worry about that too much.  The biggest source is packaged/canned food, fast food, and junk food, aside from salt added at the table.  Anyway, all bottles come with labels detailing the mineral composition, so if you are that concerned, get your reading glasses and spend 15 minutes in the water aisle of a major supermarket!

Thx Trape

Checked a bottle today, and it said sodium is 16 ppm (parts per million) = 16 grams/million grams = 16 grams/1,000 kg = 16 grams/1,000 liters = 0.016 grams/liter.  And if you are drinking 3 liters a day, that's 0.048 grams, which is approximately 10% of half a gram (50 mg).  As I said, negligible.

Thx I just came in and found the same conclusion! That was easy enough.
