Aside from the usual boozing on the weekends:

There's a Viking Fest on Saturday, November 9th in Bình Thạnh District.  It'll cost you at least 1,500,000 VND.

Also there is a Diwali Gala 2013 in D1 on Saturday.  Cost is 700,000 VND a person.  Diwali, as you probably know, is the Indian Festival of lights, celebrated throughout the sub continent cutting across religious lines signifies the triumph of goodness over evil.  For all, it the time fostering amity, common brotherhood, and communal harmony.

Hey, you can go out to the park to make some friends, or just visit any bar or club in here. There are always activities and events in those places.
