You want to meet people? Come over to District 1, the Tax Trade Center and Vincom center. There are tons of people there every night from now. I live near there and it annoys me so much every day on the way home.

If you fancy a drink, message me! I'll show you my sweet hometown Saigon!

Here's a question for Nam Viet people. How does the Cao Dai church celebrate Christmas, if at all?

jinxedta

Just a warning traffic sucks during the holidays in D1, so don't take your bike walk or if you have to take a taxi until you hit traffic then walk form there. you'll spend hours just getting form one side of d1 to the other.

This mean I can finally cross the street without any worries yeah!!!

hi,

You will find a large Catholic Church in Downtown SaiGon.
They do a lot of Christmas activities.

As for Cao Dai Temple ... I belong to the one in Seattle USA.
It is small and poor, but they do have Christmas
They offer lots of food, prayer and have a Christmas tree.
There is a fun game played with the gift exchange for the kids.
And Young at Heart.
It is fun to see people enjoying  Santa, reindeer, decorations and snowmen ...

Will there be any celebratory gun fire?

jcsaunders

I doubt any real gun fire ...
Sometimes we would do strings of firecrackers ..
Or home made candle lite lanterns.
Generally a lot of street noise, activities, festive yet peaceful.
Would love to see them get snow ... hihihi
