Is appears this is true only for a visit, and you want your father to stay with you permanently. It seems it is possible for parents over 60 years of age, but as always things here change on the daily basis so it is best to check personally with the ministry in charge when the time comes.

well sakss the only person taht can answer that question for you is the immigration officer at the jawazat roundabout; you need to go there to find out what you need to do to get your folks here.
