Sponsoring drivers and maids - Doctors & Engineers only?

I have an iqama in KSA and sponsor my wife and children. I tried to sponsor a driver and maid recently but have been told that now only doctors or engineers can sponsor domestic staff, regardless of the applicant's salary level.

Has anyone else had this experience? Does anyone have any comments or ideas?

Handsome salary doesnt impress rules here, unfortunately they dont care if a person is earning 50k or 5k they just need what is written in the law book or or or...........
What is your profession btw?

If your salary level is not an issue then you can hire Saudis - no need to sponsor them.
