Mum of two coming to Toulouse

Hi all

My name is Kristin and I'm new to the forum. Thanks in advance for all your awesome replies! ;-)

I'm a mum of two young boys (nearly 3 y/o and 8 months) and we will be moving to Toulouse as soon as our visas come through, around April we hope.

I'd love to meet up with some other mums/dads in the area to help me get the lay of the land and help me combat a bit of "culture shock". My French is very basic (think high school that's had very little practice) but I'm keen to improve.

My husband will be working for Thales (he currently works in their Melbourne office) and I'll be focused on improving my French, settling the kids and kick-starting my photography business.

I'd also love some advice on family friendly areas to live, but perhaps that post is best suited on another board.

I look forward to your replies and meeting some of you in person, sometime soon!

hello my name is pauline. My husband and I are both French but have lived in the uk for the past 10 years, and we only recently moved to Toulouse. Even though we are French, we are experiencing a bit of a "culture shock", still! We have a 3 year old little boy called louis. I would be happy to meet you and introduce you to child friendly places around toulouse!

Thanks for your reply Pauline. Did you live in Toulouse prior to your move to the UK or another part of France? Which area are you living in now?
