hi guys...

i have read a bit here and there about the waterflow setup in homes/apartments in malta...

i have a question though... :-)
is it normal to have a spurting action coming through from the hot water which goes to the bathroom ?
or even the cold water going into the bathroom ? or is this potentially caused by a water bubble/s in the pipes coming from the rooftank ?

(i understand that the kitchen has direct water from the mains, but that the rest of the water comes also from the mains but via the water tank reservoir sitting on the roof...  on top of that the hot water would be going through the hot water boiler in the bathroom)

thanks in advance for any comments :-))

Hot water spurting can be caused by the hot water temperature being high, however if both hot and cold water is spurting is probably an air lock somewhere in both systems (unusual but not unknown).
Have you had the water cut off or drained recently or is the water pump leaking ?
Also check the water tank is filling up properly and not allowing air into the system.

Hope this helps,

Terry

ok...thanks...

yes i believe that the water was not being used for some time before i moved in, so might just be that... am going to check the flow in all taps/showers to see wot the pattern is, if any...
