Concept of Luku in Dar

Has anyone understood the concept of Luku in Dar? If so please explain.

I have purchased Luku worth Tshs 60,000 once and got 222 units and in another month I purchased worth Tshs 70,000 and got 170 units only.

How does this work? Is there any way to beat the system?

Look at the receipt closely, they may be a monthly service charge applied, otherwise LUKU have got new rates.

Be careful when purchasing one, the vendors have got a bad habit of being dishonest,

These are my receipt details:

Cost TZS : 63,265
Time based: TZS 6,734
Total TZS : 70,000
VAT: TZS 10,327

There you are, "Time based: TZS 6,734"

That's a monthly charge on LUKU...

So the total amount of LUKU bought was for only TZS 52,939

So is there any way to avoid this time based charge?

Maybe make a payment of 10,ooo Tshs initially and then make a second payment of the actual amount that I want to purchase.

Don't know if it makes sense.

Sorry you can't avoid those cuts, they are TANESCO'S monthly service charges..
