Hi,

I have received a job offer from a company (bakery) in Muscat. . Apart from that I am also getting accommodation . I will also get 30 days leave once a year along with return air tickets. working full time around 12 hours ,7days working without off day. i wanna know the normal salary per month in muscat , of this position, manager of the bakery.

As per the Omani Ministry of Manpower rules employees cannot be made to work for more than 45 hours per week @ 8 hours per day, with a daily 1-hour lunch break. Also, a 2-day weekend of Friday and Saturday is mandatory. Blue collar workers do not follow this timings. But they too get their off days and time off work, by rule.

What you are being offered is completely against the Omani labour laws. Also, it would be near impossible for you to continue working for more than a couple of months, for a straight 12-hours a day , 7-days a week.

Can you tell my more about ur company my be I can help you. But according to Omani labor law u have to work 45 hour per week in 5 days its main 9hour day for the extra hour of working they hove pay u hour time.
