Actually, the beautiful young woman who inspired Tom Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes to write the classic Bossanova hit "The Girl from Ipanema" (Garota de Ipanema) recently turned 67 years of age. Heloísa Eneida Menezes Paes Pinto or Helô Pinheiro as she is commonly known went through a turbulent relationship because of the song, her boyfriend (now husband) had a very jealous streak and the song just drove him wild with fury.
Got to admit, she still looks pretty damned hot to me!!!

1). After I posted this thread I realized the mistake I did by not saying the name of the song in Brazilian, which I knew all too well Garota de Ipanema ...
I hope you realized that if I mention Samba De Uma Nota So and the other two unforgettable oldies but goldies, I know about Garota de Ipanema.
2). However, you posting the pic of The Garota is amazing. She looks gorgeous and I cannot even imagine how pretty she was to inspire Jobim to write such evergreen.
