Hi everyone,

I've just moved to RAK with my 7 month old baby girl 2 weeks ago, to be with my husband who works here. I've lived in london all my life and had all my family and friends there and had a great social life but now moving to a place where i don't know anyone is quite strange but exciting at the same time. I live in Al hamra golf apartments and really wanted to meet other mothers who have babies, because soon enough my baby will get sick of seeing my face all the time and i'll start to feel really lonely because i already miss back home. I tried looking for parent and baby activity / drop-in centres, like they have in london but no luck :(.

Hello Sabba and welcome to expat-blog and of course Al Hamra Village :)

I am sure you will like life here in RAK as we have a wonderful community here, always ready to help each other and have regular meetups too! You have so much luck, only having a few meters to walk to go to the mall where you already can find lots of things. I'll get back to you via your private inbox with some references of things to do with your baby as external groups are not mentioned here but they will help you to socialize faster in our community :)

I personally hope to meet very soon with you
Have a nice day further

Thank you so much Arlette. You're so kind. That's already brought a smile to my face. Really looking forward to meeting you too :)

Hello Sabba
How are you enjoying life in RAK now? Are you still there?
I may be moving over soon from the UK with my two little girls aged 1 and 3 :)
