HAPPY GROUNDHOG DAY!!

Post new topic

mugtech

Yes, today, 2/2/14, is the day we have anticipated, the day our groundhog will tell us if it will be an early spring or 6 more weeks of winter.  If the groundhog sees his shadow, then he retreats back into his hole and it means a prolonged winter.  If it is cloudy and he does not see his shadow, then we will have an early spring.  The anticipation is always great, but this year especially since later today in neighboring New Jersey another event finally happens about 6:30 PM involving a Superb Owl.

Happy Groundhogs Day!!!

Yes, only we crazy Canucks and Americans would put our entire faith in the forecasts of a rodent!!!  Oh, wait.... I just remembered, the TV weatherman really doesn't have a better track record either. Yikes.

I predict that Spring will begin March 20th.

You mean I have to put up with another 6 weeks of warm (30-32) sunny days.  Well someone has to do it.  :D

or you can skip over spring entirely and go straight to summer from winter if you want to go with the old Norse calendar

We don't have Spring or Autumn here anyway.  It's just Summer from March to December and a couple months of Winter.

Temperature conversions:
0 Celsius - you're cold
0 Fahrenheit - you're very cold
0 Kelvin - you're dead

It is still Groundhog Day. Every time I wake up I experience the same day. Yesterday I punched an classmate who is now an insurance broker in the face. It is like out of a movie!
