MEDICAL FITNESS TEST - LEPROSY

Post new topic

paolo21

I have a friend who got an offer from an agency to work as a waitress in a 5 star Hotel there in Dubai. She was diagnosed last year having an "tuberculoid type" leprosy. This type of leprosy is the least contagious and most mild type among it's classes. Leprosy is now curable and can be treated. She's currently on medication and her doctor said she is 100% not contagious anymore provided by WHO standard multidrug therapy. She only have single lesion and it's not even severe nor noticeable. But she needed to complete the 6 months to complete the treatment and she's now on her 2 months. She's afraid to be deported and she would like to be informed ahead of time before coming into a decision.

Will she accept the opportunity and and just continue the medication when she get there and provide doctor's certificate that she is already being treated? or Is it possible to complete the treatment here in Philippines and re-apply in agency ? and Is it even possible to work there in dubai even though the expat had a history of leprosy?

Thankyou!

James

Hello paolo21,

This is a very SPECIFIC question, in a very GENERAL forum. I really think you're going to get a much better and quicker reply if you post it directly on the United Arab Emirates Forum, don't you?

If you look at the bottom of the main forum page you'll see lists of countries by continental areas each with that nation's flag. Clicking on any of them will take you to that nation's forum. That's how it works.

leprosy + 5* hotel.

Yes, that's a good combination....not.

The ability of doctors to cure or manage the disease hardly matters, if any guests find out, the hotel will be empty within an hour.
She should fully inform the hotel before she gets to her intended country. Anything else would be unreasonable.

thankyou!
