Government assistance for overseas immigrants

Hi all,

We have applied for family visa 176 for Perth and we are expecting it in another two months. We would like to know how long it takes to get government assistance for overseas immigrants especially with children. And is it better for us to travel together or if my husband should travel ahead and make arrangements for me and our two children.

Best contact the immigration dept for information.
I understand that they have tightened up on assistance to immigrants so this may not be available anymore
