Hi all kinds persons in this forum.  I wonder if any of you would consider sharing the name of a local person whom we could pay to do some work for a friend there. It could be a driver who speaks both English and the native language.  Or it could be an older lady who could accompany my friend to the doctors and help my friend through the maze of Bangalore.   She does not need someone to help every single day - maybe she will need help 1-2 times a week for the next few weeks/months.

My dear expat friend currently working and living on her own in Bangalore.  She is having a pretty significant health problem and she is now at the point where she really needs to get someone locally to help her.  As an example, someone in her office recommended that she visit a very good specialist but my friend told me it is just too difficult to figure out where the specialist is located and to get a taxi driver to help her figure that out and bring her there.  For this reason, she is not going to visit the recommended specialistic but will instead return to the mediocre doctor she prevously svisited, simply because she "knows how to get to his office".

So you see, I think she really need someone who knows the local ways around and can help her while she is having this health problem and doesn't have so much energy to handle these things on her own.

Sorry for the long post, but it was otherwise difficult to explain in brief words.

Any recommendations are most appreciated.

Sincerely,
Anna
