Hi
We moved from Sweden to Malta, Sliema  2 monts ago. My housband and I,  and our dog Metaxa.
We now consider to live in a farmhouse in Gozo from october. What is the best about living on Gozo?
and what problems is there living on Gozo?
Is there a Place where expats meet on Gozo?
Hope that somebody out there can tell a little about living on Gozo-

Let me just put my 'rose tinted glasses' on   ;)
The best things for us are the friendliness of everyone local that we have met, the peace and quiet and the laissez faire attitude of the authorities etc. We are early retirees.
We like the 'laid back, sleepy village atmosphere and the beauty of it.
Less congestion (far less) than much of the mainland. Less building development and an excellent bus service.
Shopping is a 'doddle', excellent shops in Rabat and they all deliver - free.
I cannot say we have any problems living on Gozo.
I am sure expats meet somewhere but where I would not know; except the few regulars every morning in the village for tea and nothing organised that I know of.

Thank You so much for your answer.
We are also retirees. What You wrote about living on Gozo reminded me of when I was living in a village on the Island Thasos (Greece) for a couple of years, and that was a very good Life. So when our contract here runs out in oktober we will find something on Gozo.
