Yes you may certainly get a job. When can you start?

MikeWallace77

On second thoughts, I just had back surgery at Pantai Hospital. In two days I was treated by four different physiotherapists who were all local Malays and mostly females. So Kumar, what do you think you can offer that local Malaysians cannot?

Gravitas

"Buy into a practice" means that in Malaysia groups of medics or support health care people mostly join together and open a clinic together.  This means that they usually all contribute to setting it up and paying for the overheads and the non-medical staff needed to man the clinic. Another method is for practitioners to rent out space in already established clinics that want to expand their services.

So the model is often not direct employment but a partnership, although as Mike says, there are physiotherapists working in public and private hospitals. Malaysia is also reaching the situation where it is over-supplied with heath care workers.
