Doctor relocating to Germany

Hi..I'm a doctor thinking of doing my residency training in Germany with my husband..
Please can anyone help with what the procedures are? Like,would I have to apply to hospitals until I get a job offer?
Recommend any states in particular?
Any information would help,cos the ones available on the official sites are not quite exhaustive.

Unless you're EU citizen, you need a job offer to apply for a work permit.
You can apply for a job seeker visa if you want to come here to look for work - this will increase your chances quite a lot.
Also, German language skills will help. I honestly cannot imagine how a doctor could practice without being able to talk to his patients!
