Working in Malta

Hello,

I need some help!

I am sorry, probably my questions seem funny but I still don't understand how these two things are:

1. As an EU citizen do I need a social security number to apply for jobs and to get a job ?

2. Do I need a Maltese ID card or Residency to get a job- or in order to be considered seriously as a job seeker while applying for jobs?

Thanks in advance for any information!

no, but you will need one once you get a job, and a tax number

as a foreigner you can no longer get an ID card, but you have to apply for an eResidence card once you start work, or after being here for 3 months - a prospective employer wont care if you have one at interview stage
