We meet up to social-watch the 2nd opening game, Uruguay vs. France (20:30) at OCB. After that we have the opportunity to dance at the same venue, maybe Karaoke is possible too. OCB offers it all.

Thank you for your suggestions.

I am Tudor.

Feel free to drop by and say hello. We won't byte.

Report on regular Thursday meetup (June 24th) with INTERNATIONS - written by Christoph

Venue: White Club, 1900-...?
Present: ca. 30 ELP members + 30 others
Newcomers: Barbara from San Diego
In suits: many, but that wasn't affecting the social tone at all
Spatio-temporal dynamics: no particular ones. Just a slowly growing cluster.

That was another great Internations meetup, thanks to our presence. From whom else would the infidel ones (non-ELP members) have gotten their entertainment to put it modestly. Roxanna appeared in jaw-dropping chic attire - actually like Livia, just scaled by a factor of 1.5 or so. One conversation topic was copa mondial of course. The name tags didn't allow us to switch personalities...well we could have switched tags (!)...maybe next time. One person was a security expert from Israel which made the meeting safer I suppose. I suggested putting those funny couches afloat on the pool but I failed in finding persons executing the plan.

Note 1: I think we should simply incorporate the internations meeting.
Note 2: ...can't think of another one, I'm writing this too late to find more notes because I spent the weekend on the coast.

Regular 08.00 PM Thursday Meetup - Frankfurt Cafe/Tania Hotel, 5 Selari street

  Jul  15    Thu  8:00 PM

While we're focused on choosing vacation destinations the vibrant Lipscani area is developing new attractions...

The cute Tania Hotel grew it's own cafe - we were attracted by the Frankfurt skyline featured at the entrance. It so happens that the cafe's name is also Frankfurt.

Location is on 5th, Selari Street :

- right across the yellow Bergenbier Terrace
- 20 m from the Old City Pub on Lipscani
- roughly at the crossroad between Selari and Covaci str.

For some women the Lipscani area seems to be an issue. ELP-men (barbati) should consider escorting ELP-women to the parking lot or metro on the way home.

On your way to the venue, feel free to call 0762 863 429 ( Cosmote ) or 0722 789 938 ( Vodafone ) , should the need arise.

Tudor, Valentina, Christoph

Reports on the regular meetups can be found under the tag "Diaries of the Mother Meetup" at http://www.meetup.com...

You are welcome and encouraged to bring friends. Newcomers are warmly greeted, and there is no reason to be shy. The bunch is composed of expats, repats and locals interested in new cultures in equal doses.
