Area to live in KL - urgent

Post new topic

Hello,

What nice and cheap area would you recommend to live in KL please?
I'll be working at Cyberjaya, and need something near transport and not far from City Center.

Any idea about transport type available, have no driving licence.

Cheers.

Cyberjaya is more than 30 km from KL.

You can rent a good room in Cyberjaya for RM500/- or an apartment for RM 1500/-.

You can stay in KL and commute to Cyberjaya. There is a train which is available every 30 mins, and takes about 30 mins each way. It costs about RM10/- each way. The station in KL is KL Sentral, and the station near Cyberjaya is Putrajaya Sentral. There are frequent buses between Cyberjaya and Putrajaya Sentral. A taxi from Cyberjaya to Putrajaya Sentral may cost about RM10/-.

ThomasK, Many Thanks for your feedback, any area you do suggest at KL ?

Thx.

The apartments at KL Sentral would be very convenient, but they aren't cheap. The main advantage is that you can get trains from there to anywhere around KL. Taxis are convenient and cheap since it's near the heart of KL.

Not too far away are the Brickfields and Bangsar areas where you can look around too.

hi,

Around KL Sentral is slaughter area.. pretty expensive but convenience for trains. Why don't you try somewhere Putrajaya lots of housing area or Bangi even Bukit Jalil..

you can stay at cheras then take the train from bandar tasik selatan which is not far to cyberjaya too...and cheras area is very cheap to live compare to kl central.

I work in Cyberjaya, and stay in Puchong which is about 20 km away.

It's about a 20 min drive to Cyberjaya and 30 min back home. Not too bad as we're travelling against most of the traffic.

Puchong and USJ are convenient places to stay if working in Cyberjaya, but you must have your own transport. Else, taxis will probably cost about RM30/- each way.

Puchong and USJ are self-contained townships, but they are not as happening as KL.

Although KL is further away, there is a good highway whereby it only takes about 25 mins by car from somewhere around Bangsar or KL Sentral. As mentioned earlier, another option is to use the rail line from KL Sentral.

Where you are going to work is far away to kl.
You do not live in cheap places here. How cheap?

First you need to come here then if you are free I can talk with you what to do or where to stay etc. If you like to.
