hey you should click around on all of the brazilian Expat.coms listed here to read about the different experiences everyone has. some people are alone, have kids, are married to brazilians, work, don't work, travel, cook, live in sao paulo, rio, recife, salvador, belo horizonte--there are too many experiences in this country to list on a message board, that's why this is a blog community! on the brazil homepage look down toward the bottom of the page and you'll find a "latest blog" list.
