Hi, I'm planning to come to Manama for job.
My salary is 325 bhd. Food and accommodation will be provided by company for me only.

1.Is it enough for me?

2. if I bring my wife and a 3 year son, will this salary be enough? Food and accommodation will not be provided for them...

3. Is Bahrain safe for expats?

I need some advice also.
My wife is a banker. I can call her and she can also find a job in Manama. So is it easy to get a banking job there? Thank you!

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Simple answer - it is enough for your to survive on a single basis. But will be difficult if you get down your wife and child, unless you live in shared accommodation and send your child to basic schools.

Your wife maybe able to find a job, but this is not guaranteed. Bahrain is a small market and has a large educated local work force. Your wife will have to compete with them for local jobs.

Please take sometime to read through the following links:

They provide a fairly good idea of what to expect in terms of cost of living and similar.

Once you have gone through them, if you have further questions please do write in.

Best wishes.

PS: Bahrain is safe generally.

As a general rule, please read at least the first few pages of the forum since most questions will have been raised earlier and hence have been discussed.

Good luck with your decision.
