To anyone from California or USA in general

Hi everyone! I'm from Buenos Aires, Argentina and want to move to California. I've studied Translation (Spanish-English) though I didn't graduate because of financial issues. I want to move to a different country since I'm not very comfortable here, plus I live in a city which I can't stand at all. I need nature around me, not just buildings and people rushing from here to there. So I was thinking about California (somewhere near a beach) and some job related to Tourism maybe. I have wide experience in Customer service and enjoy that kind of work.
So are you in a similar situation? or have you heard about anyone in a situation like this? what do you think my chances are to get a job in California?
Thanks in advance!
