Documentation for conjugal visa

Post new topic

Hi all

I'm sure I read somewhere wrt documentation required for a conjugal visa, that I need copies of previous marriage and divorce certificates and not only most recent.

does anyone know whether only the recent marriage and divorce certificates are required or ALL marriage and divorces certificates.

Many thanks

When I was in the process of sponsoring my wife, I think I remember reading history of every divorce and marriage. This is so that they can keep a record of all of the ex-spouses. That is what I best remember.

I also went and dug up the old site for you that I used to visit for information on all the proper procedures and docs I need to gather and this is what I found:

http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/ru … x?lang=eng

"When answering the question regarding previous marriages and common-law relationships, please note that you must list all of such previous relationships. Attach a separate sheet if necessary. If your spouse or common-law partner (if not your sponsor) has had previous such relationships, they should be listed on a separate sheet."

Hope this will answer your question.
