Hi Guys,

I would like to check the timeline on receiving 13 month salary.

Lets say if i have joined the company on 28 April 2013 which by now i have already finished my 1 year.. Usually in most of the employment contracts it will be mentioned that employee will be given 13 month salary after he completes 1 year of service and its mentioned in mine as well but the date or timeline for crediting that is not mentioned. In this case do you happen to have any idea on when these are credited or any laws pertaining to its release general .

i am moving out from the current company and last day is on 13 June 2014, the HR is of the stand that they will be credit this amount on 07 July  along with my june salary.

At first they have told me that it will be credited along with my April 2014 salary irrespective of my resignation and still figuring out with them on their change in stands.

Meanwhile your advice is highly appreciated in this matter .

Thanks

beppi

There are no laws governing employment matters like this in Singapore. Only the rules stated in your contract count!
If your contract does not specify it, ask HR what their common practice is.
