Anyone can list down all things needed to prepare to relocate to Singapore. Im currently living in Vietnam. Thanks!!!

You need
- a way to pay for your living expenses (e.g. a job, savings or scholarship)
- a valid reason to get a visa (e.g. work, joining family, or investment)
Once you have these, you may start worrying about
- a place to stay (i.e. rent or buy)
- finding friends and hobbies
- etc.
If you have more specific questions about these, please post again!

Hi beppi, thank you for the information.
I have been searching for a suitable job but seem it's getting more difficult for a foreigner to get a work in Singapore now. I've sent my CV to some recruitment firms (thru internet) but no positive feedback so far. I dont have work pass in Singapore and i have never worked oversea before so dont have much experience. Could you show me in detail how to do :)

beppi

Yes, finding a job is getting very difficult for a foreigner.
You should concentrate on skills and jobs that Singaporeans don't have, and convince the employer that they should hire you and not a local. Not an easy task, but just sending standard applications will not work!
And: Recruitment agencies are not very helpful in Singapore - you better contact companies directly!

One more thing: You need to be in Singapore (have an address and phone number there) to be invited for any interview. So arrange for a job hunting trip (of a month or more) if possible and let potential employers know of it. This way you show how serious you are! (Applications from abroad are otherwise often discarded immediately.)

Good luck!

Hi beppi, It seems physical presence in Singapore is essential to get a job. I should spend time for a well-prepared job hunting trip, although i'm unable to take 01 month leave. And i also dont have friends there, this may cost me a significant amount. Incase i dont receive any offer, i will go home and become bankrupt. Haha.
Thank you beppi veryyy.. much.
Any other recommendation/advise is appreciated. (I'm Civil Engineer - included in skills-in-demand list, with 4 years experience in Sales support engineer, estimating engineer, project management engineer position).

Depending on which area of civil engineering you are specialised in, you could contact construction companies involved in the new MRT lines, major road building projects, offshore infrastructure (Singapore is a major centre for oil-rig building, and there are several oil refineries on Jurong Island), industrial construction (mainly in Tuas in the West) or hotel developments (in the new Integrated Resorts or similar).
Good luck!
