Ban on visits

Guys anybody with information on occasional bans on visit to Kuwait? What is the current situation and is it feasible to come to Kuwait as a tourist and get a work permit? Please i need information urgently.

the ban that has been in place the longest is on the following nationalities:

Iran, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan.

anyone else, its up to the person processing the paperwork as they look at things like salary etc. as deterrents.

and no; they've banned the conversion of visit visa to commercial; you have to have come on a commercial visit visa.

i think the date for commercial visit visa transfer to residence visa has passed,and they are not converting to residence visa.

It's better for people to get visas and sponsorship before coming to Kuwait for your peace of mind. The rules in KUwait change daily so you may get stuck in Kuwait, it's expensive and hard to survive here without a job.
