work visa in China

I am an artist/potter, I have stayed and worked in Jingdezhen on and off the past 2 years obtaining a 1 year business visa each year. I create art, and functional dinnerware.

In the past I obtained a "formal invitation" from a artist residence program.

I would like to stay on my own in 2015, get my own apartment and art studio. How can I go about doing this?

I wont be getting a formal "invite".

Setup your own company.

BUT there is a lot of hassle and paperwork involved, will take months and will be an even bigger pain to close the company when you decide to leave China
