Self employed address

Hi,

I just moved to Malta and I'm going to file an application to become self-employed. The problem is that the landlord won't officially register me with the authorities (I think this means to fill out that so-called H form - can he even do that before I obtain residency?). I'm supposed to state a business address on that form so what address can I state then?

I'll be very grateful to anyone assisting me in this matter.

Regards,
Daniel

form H is solely for Enemalta/ARMS purposes - you can use the address for all purposes

Yes, and if you have any rent contract or bill statement with the address you may use them as proof of address

Ok, thanks a lot for this. What about setting up  a bank account - is the rent contract and your current bank reference enough?

georgeingozo

depends on the bank, the bank branch, and the type of account you wish to open - seems to be no firm rules

Kosio

It was a major trouble in my case, as both BOV and HSBC (tried several different branches too) wanted a reference letter from my former Bulgarian bank. This took 2 months to return, and without it nothing would happen.
