hi tamii, when are you coming to Malaysia and how many days will u be here?

i'm drafting you an itinerary as follows:

Day 1: Arrival in KLIA, suggest to stay a night at Sunway Lagoon Resort (You can take a cab from KLIA. You will like the shopping malls surrounding the hotel)

Day 2: Depart to Malacca (2 hours drive). Suggest to stay at Casa del Rio Melaka Hotel. Suggest to stay 2 nights in Malacca. Staying from Friday to Sunday would be the best choice as you can visit a night market named Jonker-walk, walking distance from your hotel.

Day 4: Depart from Malacca to KLIA in the morning (2 hours drive). Take a MAS flight from KLIA to Terengganu (MH1336 ETD 14.40 ETA 15:35), then from Terengganu airport take a cab to Kuala Besut Jetty. Prior to the trip, suggest you purchase a package to Perhentian Island via pulaupulau.com/perhentianpac.htm

Day 6: Depart from Perhentian Island to Kuala Besut Jetty in the morning. Take a cab to Terengganu airport. Take a MAS flight from Terengganu-KLIA-Penang (MH1335 ETD 16.05 ETA 17:00 MH1158 ETD 18:20 ETA 19:20). then from Penang airport take a cab to Gurney Drive. Suggest to stay at G-hotel along Gurney Drive. Suggest to stay 2 nights in Penang for 2 nights.

Day 8: Depending on your flight back to your home country or, suggest to depart from Penang to Kuala Lumpur (MH1149 ETD: 15:15 ETA:16:10).

from the above itinerary, it:
- utilise a 8-days tour to Malaysia (covering 4 states)
- minimise transportation cost and travelling hours (as the hotels suggested is near to the tourist spots)

for Day 1 to Day 4, there is another option of hiring a local tour guide who drives a cab to bring your around in Kuala Lumpur (Day 1), travelling to and moving around in Malacca (Day 2-3) and travelling from Malacca to KLIA (Day 4). this will minimise cab fees from Kuala Lumpur to Malacca. if you choose to hire a local tour guide with cab, I can recommend you a trustable agency.

for hotel, suggest to book via agoda.com
for flight, suggest to book via malaysiaairlines.com

hope this is helpful for you. let me know any more help needed.
