Help with iqama-visa process

Hi, we are moving to khobar in a couple of weeks. My husband goes out first for the iqama and the residency. He then pops bk to pic us up. Can anyone tell me roughly how long this process can take? I'm trying to organise the shipping firm from this end but have no time scale on how long it will take my husband to sort it Saudi end?
