As I understand that if I am supposed to join a company in Mauritius on occupation permit I need to come to Mauritius with an offer letter of the company and apply for the business visa for at least one month and during this time (at least 15 days before the business visa expires) my occupation permit application may be raised and processed (taking not more than 3 working days time).
1. Do I need to apply for business visa on my own or my company would provision it ?
2. How long does it take to process business visa ? Which documents would be required for business visa ?
3. Assuming that I am supposed to join a company on 7th July how many days earlier to my joining date can I come to Mauritius and be there on business visa ? Can I land in Mauritius on 2nd July and apply for business visa and then initiate my occupation permit  so that on the day of joining I have my occupation permit ready ?

Sorry Occupation permits no longer take 3 days. You should count a minimum of 10 days now.

Your business visa is normally your responsibility, but an offer letter from your employer might help.

You need a return ticket and should be at in kind that the maximum visa period is 120 days in a year.  While landing you may get 60 days and if needs be you can extend in port Louis office.

If you take into account the 10 days minimum processing by the BOI,  medical tests and other formalities with your employer...I would recommend that you come 3 weeks prior to employment date. You can then be almost sure that you have your permit on day 1 of your job.
