However I should say that noone checked anything at the airport!! But despite that I suggest you to follow all the procedures.
Besides you need to call the airlines (Serbia airlines allow pets on board) and inform them that you are travelling with a pet and tell them the weight so that they can make the booking and when you go to the airport to check in you should pay according to the weight.
