Scary! We have a nearly 3 year old and a nearly 18 year old (who may not come with us).
We've done a bit a of very basic research but what as an Australasian surprised you? Personally dreading being far from my parents as they have a very very close relationship with my kids.
Worrying about accommodation costs, getting around for me (the wife) without a vehicle), if I can be walking distance to my  nearly 3 year old preschool/school, cost of things eg food, hairdresser, internet, etc.  TV viewing for my little one. Finding and making friends etc. I'm terrified as never lived outside my home country or this far from family

Abu Dhabi is a very safe place. I can leave my apartment door open with fear of what would happen.

it all boils down to how much you are going to earn. break it down to us and we can help you.
