Hi to all!
My homeland is Croatia and i am living in Germany.
In few moths period , I will be, Inshallah in Jeddah. My husband is in Jeddah now, and he is looking for a 2-3 BDR house or flat in compound. We have heard that Sharbatly is good, any other suggestion? Also, will need advices what to take from Europe with us, or there is no needs to bring our things. Also, will need in future alot of advice regarding hairdresser, waxing etc... So, people, want to come in Jeddah fully prepared. I already bought my first abaya:). Thx

Hey santica ,
Welcome to the expat-blog ,and to KSA in near future i guess but, regarding the matters of compounds ,we have discussed it numerous times and but since you are new here,

"Compound lists:

Look for compounds in the following districts: Naeem, Mohammadiyah, Shati, Basateen, Zahra, Salama, Rawdah.

Some compounds I would recommend, in no particular order:

Hajarayn (I lived here until July 2013, for 5.5 years)
Rumaih
Shaker
Andalus
Sierra
Basateen
Belleveue
Lotus
Sari Palm
Saudia City

(I have been inside all of them)

Links above will give you descriptions and perhaps pics as well, but you can google for pics. Find other suitable ones from the links.

Contact them for latest prices, and to put your name down on their waiting lists. Better yet, make appointments with the managers to go visit so you can see inside with your own eyes. Put your name down on all, even the ones at the bottom of your preference list, because trust me, living in pretty much any compound in this country is better than living in the poshest triple story villa--rent SR 200,000+/year--not on a compound, and this is especially true if you have kids. Tip:before posting a thread ,you can search the info ,in the top middle search bar, that will show you all the relative info that was previously discussed in the forum ,if you find the answers satisfying ,just like their posts and share the info  :top:
