Dear Founder.
Great answers you give. I am a new member.
from to-day.
I can stay 90 days without visa in MA, but if I would like live there permanently, what do I need.
I am senior, and can give a bank statement for a monthly income.
I am not going to work in MA.

Well hi Loujac!

It seems that you want to retire in Mauritius! A retired non-citizen is defined as a person who is not a citizen of Mauritius and aged 50 years or above.
A retired non-citizen should make an initial transfer of at least 40,000 USD in a local bank when first settling in Mauritius and this will allow you to obtain a Residence Permit for 3 years (renewable subject to established criteria).

Should you require to contact me for more information, pls do so on 59506201.

Kind regards

Neetesh

You will have your answers directly from the govt, that is the BOI who will accept you or not depending on your application - no need to go through a middleman:

http://companies.gov.mu/English/Documen … _resid.pdf
http://www.investmauritius.com/faqs/res … ermit.aspx

As far as permanently it is a misnomer but you can have a resident permit for 10 yrs as a retired applicant . check the above site .

Loujac

Thank you very much.

Hello Loujac!

Just to let you know that the document link (http://companies.gov.mu/English/Documen … _resid.pdf) which 'External' provided to you is erroneous and outdated for the following reasons:

1. No bank guarantee of MRU 50,000 is needed in favour of the Government of Mauritius.

2. The Residence Permit fee is not MRU 10,000 but has increased to MRU 20,000.

3. No bank guarantee is needed for spouse and dependent.

Should you require any other precise information regarding your application, pls do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards

Neetesh ;)

It may be erroneous and not up to date .
However, this is the govt of mauritius who changes the rules as they change politicos for a coalition govt
If the applicant goes on the site of the BOI , he or she will get the info required.
No need to pay for a middleman for this application, when he is looking for simple retired resident permit.
The rules may change depending on who is the minister but the info should be on the BOI site or the details will be given when the application is submitted..

Loujac

Thanks again. Have a nice day.
