Thailand vs Philippines

I lived in the Philippines a little over 3 years and left the end of 2008. I am now thinking about returning to live there or possibly Thailand, which I know very little about.

Except for the pretty women and generally low prices, I didn't like much else there.

If there is any one with direct knowledge of the Philippines and Thailand, I would appreciate their thought on living in each.

For others living in Thailand, I would appreciate telling me what you like best and worst there.

I don't know a lot about the Philippines, but I do know their is a large difference in the personalities of Thai and Filipino. A few people I know find the Thai people more palatable.
