Looking for others to caravan drive to Cancun after Christmas 2014

My husband and I would like to drive to Cancun so we would have our car down there for a change.  Usually we fly down.  We would like to arrive at Texas border approx. Dec. 28th.  We do not know Spanish very well and we are very nervous.  Is anyone experienced doing such a trek.  We would love to join a caravan.  SAFETY IN NUMBERS?

This is a great idea.  I have thought about that (doing a group drive) - in order to bring my dogs down with me.  Although, this winter might be a little too soon for me.  But I'll stay on the radar ... it's a fab idea.  Where will you be driving from?  I'm in Louisiana.

We would like to go through Texas because we are originally coming from middle Canada
