I am not an expert, however, that area is not in the safest surroundings. US State department warns of the area. Be very careful with the information you are getting. I have been blindsided by a number of issues, simply because I took the word of my representatives who benefited from my relocation to Panama. I am a retired woman (Jubilada or Pensionado Visa), and profesional researcher. I asked all the right questions, but believed all the wrong information. Even these well-known websites are not being truthful.
