Hello Everyone!

I am purchasing a used car from the owner. It is a 2007 model. This is my first time buying a car so any advice is appreciated. :)

Could someone suggest what I need from him (forms?), and where/how I go about getting insurance and licence plates?

I thought I had read something about this before on the site, but I can't seem to find it using my phone...

Thanks in advance for your help!
:)

Re: license plates, unless the seller wants the current plates, the car will be transferred with its existing number. If the seller wants to keep his existing plates, then he will have to pay the cost of changing the plates BEFORE he sells the car to you - I other words you should not bear the cost of his need to keep his number plate.
