Temporary or Permanent Residencia

Post new topic

ducketts

Hi all

I am getting more confused by the day.  I was informed by my friends in Sosua that if all my paper work was correct, including translated documents, I could go to Santo Domingo and spend the day there to submit the application.

I have just picked this up from another site..........."New from July, 2012: You should apply for temporary or permanent residence in the Dominican consulate in your country of origin. Until now it was possible to apply in Santo Domingo: this has changed".  Link: http://www.caribation.com/service/resid … sident.php

We are going back to the north coast in January 2015 for 3 months so it would be good to know what to do in the most efficient way possible.  Thank you

There is a thread i started regarding first step for residencia. Start there.

You must do your papereork at home, have everything translated there, then sent to the nearest Dominican consulate.

You will then come here on a special visa and then you come to Santo Domingo for the next step.
