Tips on International School selection in Hanoi

Post new topic

Dear Expats,

We are a Singaporean family looking to move to Hanoi for business. We are looking for an international school for the kids in view of sending them to UK for higher education. Any recommendations?

I heard that BIS is a really good school (value for money despite their high school fee) in HCMC. How is their campus in Hanoi?

Thanks alot and i look foward to meeting some of you soon.

Hope you are REALLY wealthy, 'international' schools charge a lot.

If you are 'happy' with Singaporean schools (similar to brainwashing) you will be pleased, they have several schools in the larger centres. Good if you want your children to be obedient sheep. (My sister-in-law works in a SP school and isn't a sheep)

There are about 15 plus 'international' schools up there. German-system schools are interesting, they mandate the use of three languages before final graduation.

There is a Chinese language school on HCM and they were talking about another in Ha Noi - it's run by a charity financed by a Taiwanese fund.

Google [ ha noi, schools, international ] and will get some school names.

Hi,

BIS is a good school.

I want to suggest some other good schools as SIS, Ha Noi Acedemic and Wellspring

Websites:

Sis: http://www.kinderworld.net/sis/news/390 … enter.html

Ha Noi: http://hanoiacademy.edu.vn/en/

Wellspring: http://www.wellspring.edu.vn/

Thanks for the enthusiastic replies.

Yes I did search for names and read up on forums so I know which are the schools that are available.

I'm actually looking for first/second degree reviews on these schools.

I asked some Vietnamese ladies for you. They have good replied about SIS because their children study there. I guess BIS is the most expensive international school.
