Stagnant Sedentary lifestyle!!!!

Post new topic

Hi,

A question here mostly for home-making ladies in Saudi who are not living in compounds.
Since there is no reason to go out of the home as you are not working and its not advisable to go out on the streets alone, you end up spending entire daytime in the house.
Does this lifestyle play any role in deteriorating medical fitness?

Thats not a rocket science; definitely YES !!

Its always better to go for walks or any sort of physical exercise to keep one healthy.

A/C malls are the best place for exercise... Just go a bit easy on the wallet ;)

Frankly, am getting bored of malls...
I get to go there only on weekend evenings, so that is when they are most crowded...

I miss the sun....  :shy

I wanted to know are there ladies here who had similar experience and then got some solution to it

I gave you the option of the mall for walking purpose and not for shopping cuz of the hot weather. You can try this when the weather becomes a bit mild ;

Thats a good one...

Thanks...

But one more thing- is it really not advised for sole women to walk on the street(even near to place of living)?

Saudi women have some of the highest rates in the world of diabetes, osteoporosis, and many other lifestyle diseases... gee, I wonder why that is!

As for walking, malls is the best idea, due to the climatic and cultural restrictions/obstructions.  I mean, do you really want to walk outside for pleasure with all the dust, car fumes, construction debris, no proper sidewalks, and blinding lasers shooting out from the sun?!  :dumbom:

I wish it was nice outside, but the reality is that > 95% of the outdoors in major cities of SA is terrible and not made for walking.

Some malls in Jeddah have a clear roof allowing sunlight in at the top floor... perhaps there is something like that in Riyadh?
