Smoking in public places

I've tried seeing what cities/areas in Germany have passed no-smoking public places, especially in Berlin. Frankfort is another place we're interested in.

Do those of you living in Germany know what areas have smoking bans? If so, what are the details or links to more information on specific places.

Berlin had one but it was just struck down.

That's too bad the policy wasn't passed.

After posting this question, I find some info. on no-smoking legislation in various countries. It seemed like Berlin was working toward less smoking in public. I guess they need to rework the proposal.
