Hi everyone!

Please could I have some advice?

I have been offered a job at $3400 a month...is that good?

Would I be able to/ and afford to send money home each month if i rented
a 2 bedroomed accommodation in Yangon ( I have to put money aside to pay towards my Mortgage)

And transport- how would I get to and from work ? Is car leasing an option?

Thanking you in anticipation for any advice you are able to give,

Welcome to the forum.

From what I gather accommodation costs are very very expensive in Yangon. I suggest you do some serious research before taking the offer.
For cost of living try www.numbeo.com

Cannot help with car rentals. Perhaps read through other posts on the forum from others who have made the move or are also contemplating moving to Myanmar.

Hi, good luck with the move/job!

Please do post again a while after you move, my partner and I are planning on moving out and I'd be interested to hear your tips.

Hi!

I ve been living in Yangon for 9 years and cost of living is nowadays really high.

Appartement rental is extremely expensive compare to other south east asia cities.

A furnished apartment (but not really european standard) without lift or car park will cost you at least 700 or 800 US a month
A decent condo at least 2000 US a month.

You ve also to pay 6 months or 1 year rent upfront.

A service apartment will be even more expensive ... 3400 US a month for a 34 meter sq (residence 26, myay nu st, sanchaung, Yangon).

To rent a car without driver, 300 US a month.

You ll spend around 150 US a month by taxi.

Hope it can help
