IF YOU'VE APPLIED FOR THE VIPER CHECK THE DPF WEBSITE

Post new topic

James

Hi all,

If you've already applied for your VIPER in the past and your name wasn't on last month's DPF list of permanency processes that were granted then check the site again.

http://www.dpf.gov.br/servicos/estrangeiro/      CLICK ON NO. 2

THERE HAS JUST BEEN A NEW UPDATED LIST (OCT. 1/2014) POSTED ON THE SITE.

The list is in the .XLS format so you need to download it and must have Microsoft Excel or similar program to read it. The list is in alphabetical order by FIRST name.

If your name and process appears on the list you have 90 days in which to register with the Policia Federal and request your Cédula de Identidade Estrangeiro. DO NOT MISS THIS DEADLINE.

The Departamento da Policia Federal - Setor de Estrangeiros will probably be closed during the Christmas / New Year holiday period, so if you're name is on the list go before Christmas.

Cheers,
William James Woodward, Expat-blog Experts Team

James does this list come out every month?

James

It's starting to look that way, but it's too early to tell. There was one posted on the DPF site in the beginning of September now one in the beginning of October. I guess we can be a bit more certain if another comes out in November.
